Malaga sounds at Easter
Malaga at Easter’ is a project produced by the Department of Culture of Malaga City Council and the cultural management company Ciudad del Paraíso. The aim is to offer a programme of concerts during Holy Week. These activities will take place on the rooftop of the Centro Cultural Fundación Unicaja (Palacio Episcopal), with the collaboration of the Fundación Unicaja, and on the rooftop of the Hermandad del Santo Sepulcro, the city’s official Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre.
There will be 6 musical groups representing the diversity of the processional music genre in Malaga. This city will have a melody of its own. The music of Alberto Escámez, who initiated the concept of compositions for bugle and drum bands from Malaga, together with works for music bands dedicated by composers with deep roots in our city to the titular images of Malaga brotherhoods, such as Perfecto Artola or Eloy García, will be joined by the classical repertoire of brotherhood music. In order to share these activities with all the people of Malaga and with all those attracted by our Holy Week, the concerts will be broadcast live on the Instagram account of the Culture Department of Malaga City Council @culturamalaga.
Although it is a different week, we hope you can enjoy these activities, but do not forget to take the necessary preventive measures and take care of us all.
And if you still don’t have accommodation for this week, you know that at Tess Vacacional we still have some accommodation available for the Holy Week malaga 2021 that will surely suit your needs.
